Noise helped manifestation of intrinsic frequency: A case study in the mesoscopic hormone signaling system

چکیده
The selective sustainment of nonlinear systems to signals is of great significance to signal transduction in living systems. We take hormone signaling as an example, and investigate the sustainment of internal and external signals. Simulation results prove that signals with ‘‘intrinsic frequency”, no matter if it is noise induced or external injected, can be selectively sustained by exploiting internal and/or external noise. Both the internal and external noise can optimize the noise-induced signals, and the optimization is rather robust to the disturbance of external signals with other frequencies. These results are of significance for weak signal detection and transduction in the presence of external signals. 2009 National Natural Science Foundation of China and Chinese Academy of Sciences. Intrinsic noise alters the frequency spectrum of mesoscopic oscillatory chemical reaction systems
Mesoscopic oscillatory reaction systems, for example in cell biology, can exhibit stochastic oscillations in the form of cyclic random walks even if the corresponding macroscopic system does not oscillate. We study how the intrinsic noise from molecular discreteness influences the frequency spectrum of mesoscopic oscillators using as a model system a cascade of coupled Brusselators away from th...
متن کاملActive Noise Cancellation using Online Wavelet Based Control System: Numerical and Experimental Study
Reaction wheels (RWs) used for attitude control of space vehicle systems usually encounter with undesired wide band noises. These noises which significantly affect the performance of regulator controller must tune the review or review rate of RWs. According to wide frequency band of noises in RWs the common approaches of noise cancellation cannot conveniently reduce the effects of the noise. Th...
متن کاملSystem Identification Based on Frequency Response Noisy Data
In this paper, a new algorithm for system identification based on frequency response is presented. In this method, given a set of magnitudes and phases of the system transfer function in a set of discrete frequencies, a system of linear equations is derived which has a unique and exact solution for the coefficients of the transfer function provided that the data is noise-free and the degrees of...

متن کاملImproving Data-based Wind Turbine Using Measured Data Foggy Method
The purpose of this paper is to improve the modeling of the data-driven wind turbine system that receives data from noise signals. Most of the data on industrial systems is noisely and data noise is inevitable and natural. The method and idea proposed in this paper, Data Fogging, significantly reduce the impact of noise on data-driven wind turbine system modeling, which is the basis of this met...
